Customizing Your Background and Intro
Clicking Create Your Group Video will open a dialog that lets you customize the Group Video, step-by-step.
The first step allows you to customize the intro (the short lead-in that appears at the start of the video), as well as the colorful background for the Group Video.
- Choose Theme Color: Select a theme color from the available options. This color will determine the background, which can be either solid or a checkered pattern based on your selection.
- Include Faces: Decide whether you want faces from people in the video to appear during the intro and optional outro. This can add a fun touch to the video's beginning, but if you prefer to keep faces a surprise until later, you can opt to exclude them (set Add faces from Clips? to No).
Note: Face detection is done automatically and while it works in most cases, it's not perfect. Unfortunately, the face collage cannot be customized.
- Background Color: Select whether any uncovered areas of the screen should match the intro color or be solid black. This ensures consistency throughout the video, especially if there are portrait-orientation videos from phones.
- Add Text: Enter 1 to 3 lines of text for the Intro. The text will appear sequentially, line by line, in an animation. Keep in mind that the length of the text is limited by the video's width and should only include regular text without emojis or special graphics.
Once you're satisfied with your Intro choices, proceed by pressing Next to continue customizing your video.
