Trimming a Video Clip

Would you like to shorten a Video Clip that someone submitted? Perhaps it ends with someone saying "How do I turn this thing off?" or it simply goes on for too long. This is precisely what our Trim feature is for!

Quick How-To

1. Navigate to the video in the Video Clips section of the Dashboard.
2. Click the Pencil Icon in the lower-left corner of the menu below the video clip to edit the video.
3. In the Trim menu, use the slider to trim the start and end of the video
4. Click Apply in the bottom right corner to save your selection
5. When you create your Group Video, the video will be trimmed accordingly.

Step-by-Step

1. Navigate to the video in the Video Clips section of the Dashboard.

Click the  Edit Video (pencil icon) option in the lower-left corner of the menu below the Video Clip.

3. In the Trim menu, use the slider to trim the start and end of the video.
4. Click Apply in the bottom right corner to save your selection.

5. The Scissors icon on the Video Clip indicates that it will be trimmed during Group Video Creation. On your dashboard, when shared to the Record & Upload Page and downloaded, the video will play at full length.

iOS App:

From your Group Video dashboard, scroll to the Video Clips

1. Press the Manage Video Clips

2 . Choose the clip you would like to edit by pressing the three dots in the clip

3 . Edit the clip with the pencil icon.

4. Select the Trim button and use the sliders to adjust the clip to your liking, then press Save.
